Sarthak Industries (SARTHAKIN) is engaged in the business segments of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, storage tanks, and merchant trading. It was incorporated on Dec. 23, 1982 and went public on Jun. 20, 1996. Formerly known as Avanti LPG (India), it acquired its present name with effect from Sep. 16, 2002. Associate companies include Sunrise Exports, Sarthak Global, Sarthak Securities, and Miraj Impex.
Located in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, the company is engaged in the manufacture of LPG cylinders which are supplied to oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation and also to private companies. Depending on market opportunities, it undertakes merchant trading of various commodities.

Sarthak Industries reported a growth in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose marginally 3.74% to Rs 1.11 million from Rs 1.07 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter increased 2.65 times to Rs 61.34 million, while total income for the quarter rose marginally 133.99% to Rs 61.61 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company posted an earnings per share of Rs 0.2 for the quarter ended June 2008.
