Formerly known as Accel ICIM Frontline, Chennai-based Accel Frontline was established in 1991. It is a joint venture formed between Accel and Frontline Technologies Corporation of Singapore. The company commenced operations by providing multi-vendor services for computers systems. Multi-location operations commenced in 1992 with offices in Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram. The company took over a computer manufacturing unit from Kothari group of companies in 1993 to provide system integration and product solutions. The IT infrastructure services division of the company provides end-to-end solutions for all IT infrastructure and integration needs of corporate and government customers. In the enterprise application market the company provides CMMi Level 5 Software. The BPO services offered by Accel allow international OEMs to provide warranty and post warranty fulfillment services for their technology products in India.

Financials
The company reported a net profit of Rs 29.7 million for the quarter ended Sep. 2006. Sales for this period stood at Rs 457.40 million.

Frontline Technologies Corporation (FTC) entered into an agreement with BT Singapore Pte wherein, BT will acquire the entire share capital of FTC. The proposed acquisition of the entire equity capital of FTC by BT under the scheme of arrangement was approved on Mar. 11, 2008.

Accel Frontline (AFL) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the business of Network Programs India (NPI), in India and Japan effective from Jan. 1, 2008. NPI, ten-year-old software solutions and services company based in Noida, near New Delhi belonging to Jubilant Group, focuses exclusively on telecommunications and network solutions business. Its customers include two large corporations in Japan and one telecommunication service provider based in Australia.

Trend Micro, a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, signed an agreement with the company to offer technical help desk services for Trend Micro's Worry-Free range of products targeted at small and medium businesses (SMBs) in India.

The company has been awarded a prestigious contract by the Center for Railway Information Services for installing and maintaining smart card based automatic ticket vending machines (ATVMs) across Western and Central Railway stations including suburban stations of Mumbai.The company announced a strategic partnership with Seagate Technology, USA to provide professional data recovery services through its extensive network of 36 service centers across 34 cities to serve a growing need in the Indian market.

Future Plans
The company is exploring the possibility of picking up a stake in a Bahrain-based company, which would provide the company a gateway to the Gulf market.
