Elantas Beck India (ELANTAS) manufactures a wide range of specialty chemicals for electrical insulation and construction industries. Incorporated as a private limited company on Mar. 05, 1956, it became a public limited company on Mar. 25, 1961, and got its present name on Jun. 19, 2007. The company is part of the Altana group, an international specialty chemical group having currently 42 operational companies and 46 application and research laboratories worldwide.
The ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified company offers primary insulation including wire enamels used for coating round and rectangular wires of copper and aluminum in order to provide primary insulation of various temperature classes; secondary insulation comprising of a wide range of insulating solvent-borne varnishes and solventless resins; impregnating resins for impregnation of electrical machine windings; electronic and engineering materials which are used for casting, potting and encapsulation; a wide range of resinous construction chemicals for the industrial floorings, protective coatings, structural repairs, waterproofing and as adhesives and sealants. It is first Indian company to launch environmental friendly products like cresol-free wire enamels, monomer free UP resins and water-soluble varnishes.
The manufacturing units are located at Pimpri in Maharashtra, Ankleshwar in Gujarat, and at Lote Parsuram in Maharashtra through the amalgamation of the erstwhile Schenectady India. The company concentrates on certain protective coatings and floorings for the high-end light engineering, pharmaceutical, and other industries. It participates in the Altana Global R&D initiative, which comprises of various projects of common interest to the group companies, by taking by taking responsibility for certain projects. The wide range of product offered is well supported by comprehensive technical service and an All India distribution network. Major export destinations include Sri Lanka and South Africa.
