Sterlite Tech bags transmission contract; stock up

MUMBAI: Sterlite Technologies’ subsidiary has bagged contract to strengthen the transmission grid in the western region on ‘build, own, operate and maintain’ (BOOM) basis. The project involves a total line length of about 1000 kms and the set up of two 1500 mva substations at Dhule and Aurangabad.

The project will be commissioned within 36 months and the company would operate and maintain the transmission system for a minimum tenure of 35 years thereafter.

The stock was at Rs 45.70, up 0.44 per cent on the NSE . It touched a high of Rs 46.60 and low of Rs 45 in trade so far.
