The company provides product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions to the mechanical design, manufacturing and industrial markets in the automotive, aerospace and hi-tech verticals. The company has over 20 years of experience in technologies like CAD/CAM/CAE, ..etc. Headquartered in Mumbai, GEOMETRIC operates from 11 locations across the globe with subsidiaries in the USA and Singapore and branch offices in Germany, France and the UK. The Singapore subsidiary has a branch in Japan.
The company provides services in PLM, PDM, engineering, visualization, collaboration, data and application migration and application customization and development to software developers, systems integrators and manufacturing enterprises. Some of the company`s major customers are Hitachi, Honda R&D, Matrixone Inc., Powerway Inc., Andor and Cohesia Corporation among others.
3D PLM Software Solutions is a joint venture between Geometric Software Solutions and Dassault Systemes with an equity participation of 70% and 30% respectively.
Financials
The company swung to a loss for the quarter ended in December 2008. Net sales for the quarter rose 38.02% to Rs 607.69 million, while total income for the quarter rose 31.22% to Rs 639.70 million, when compared with the prior year period.
