Jay Ushin (JAYUSH), formerly known as Jay Yuhshin, is promoted by the Minda family in a joint venture with U-Shin Limited, Japan. The company was established in 1986 as an OE supplier to Maruti Udyog and later was able to expand its client base. Jay Ushin is engaged in the business of manufacturing components for automobile manufacturers. It manufactures products like automobile lock key sets, door latches, heater control panel, and switches. JAYUSH is a OE supplier to two-wheeler and four-wheeler manufacturers in India. The company has three manufacturing units which include two at Gurgoan and one at Chennai. Jay Ushin has a technical knowhow agreement with U-Shin for manufacturing its products.

Jay Ushin registered a steep drop of 47.3% in net profits of Rs 10.63 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from a profit of Rs 20.17 million for the quarter ended in September 2006Net Sales quarter rose 59.82% to Rs 557.18 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 348.63 million for the quarter ended September 2006.Total income rose 53.61% to Rs 576.04 million for the quarter ended September 2007, from Rs 375.01 million for the quarter ended September 2006.The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 2.75 in the quarter ended September 2007 .
