Incorporated in 1977, Keltech Energies (KELENRG) is a manufacturer of explosives, mono methyl amine nitrate (MMAN) solution, and perlite products.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures watergel cartridge, bulk emulsion and decking system explosives; a variety of expanded perlite products like Litemix for use in concrete aggregates, loose fill insulation, Soilritemix for horticultural applications, Fillite for explosives, products for poultry feed and garment washing; and fire-proofing material called SmartRoc. KELENRG undertakes turnkey installations of in-situ light weight perlite-concrete blocks for base insulation of cryogenic tanks and annular insulation filling of double wall LNG tanks.
The explosives plants are located near Mangalore and KIOCL in Karnataka, Nagpur and Chandrapur in Maharashtra, and Waidhan in Madhya Pradesh with a total installed capacity of 107,200 MTPA. Technology for the manufacture of watergel explosives was procured from Dupont de Nemours Co., USA. KELENRG has its perlite manufacturing facilities in the Udipi district of Karnataka having an installed capacity of 6,900 MTPA expanded perlite with technology provided by Silbrico Corporation, USA.
Major customers for explosives include ACC, Birla Cements, ONGC, SAIL, and Chowgule among others. Perlite products are supplied to Asiatic Oxygen and Acetylene Co., BHEL, IOL, and Bharat Heavy Plate & Vessels to name a few. The registered office of the company is located Bangalore, India.
