Kavveri Telecom Products (KAVERITEL), incorporated in 1991, is a manufacturer of antennas and RF products for the wireless industry.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures base station antennas and accessories for use by both GSM and CDMA operators, antennas used in IBS specialized antennas for defence, and antennas for WiMAX. Two manufacturing facilities are located in Bangalore (base station antennas), one in Jigani (contract manufacturing) and one in Puducherry (RF products including filters) with a annual capacity to manufacture 15,000 base station antennas, which is being enhanced to 25,000 by around the end of FY08; and over 100,000 high quality antennas and 10,000 RF products per month.
Early in 2008, the company acquired Spotwave Wireless Inc, USA and Spotwave Wireless Inc, Canada, through its wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, Kavveri Technologies Inc, Canada. Spotwave Wireless specializes in providing products for indoor wireless coverage solutions. Earlier, it acquired Til-Tek and DCI, two North American companies. Til-Tek is a leader in antennas and DCI in RF products and filters. Technology, intellectual property rights (IPR) and patents for base station antennas of erstwhile Sigma Wireless, Ireland have been acquired from PCTEL, Chicago, USA. This acquisition provides access to customers and vendors of Sigma Wireless in Europe along with seven international patents.
The clientele in India include Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, Vodafone Essar, Idea, Reliance, Spice Telecom, BSNL, and WorldSpace among many others. It is the most favored vendor for various RF products and antennas for many pan India GSM and CDMA operators and received rate contracts from three of the largest pan-India telecom operators, Vodafone Essar, Tata Teleservices and Idea for supply of products during their base stations rollout in 2007-2008.

Kavveri Telecom Products registered a 205.79% growth in net profit to Rs 61.31 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 20.05 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales increased 3.75 times to Rs 430.05 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 114.72 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income rose 274.47% to Rs 430.45 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 114.95 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 6.24 for the quarter ended December 2007.

Kavveri Telecom Products announced that the company manufactures base station antennas and accessories for use by both GSM and CDMA operators. Kavveri also manufactures antennas for use in in-building solutions (IBS), specialized antennas for use by the defence sector and antennas for WiMAX at its facilities in Bangalore.
Its focus on quality products has also enabled Kavveri to become the most favored vendor for various RF products and Antennas for many pan India GSM / CDMA operators and OEMs.

Kavveri Telecom Products announced that it acquired Spotwave Wireless Inc, USA and Spotwave Wireless Inc, Canada, through its wholly owned Canadian Subsidiary, Kavveri Technologies Inc, Canada. Spotwave Wireless is specialized in providing products for indoor wireless coverage solutions. With this acquisition, the company is introducing intelligent adaptive repeater in-building solutions, which will be a key strategic addition to its existing in-building product and services business.
Future Plans
Kavveri Telecom Products is foraying into the manufacture of 3G-related products. The company will manufacture vacuum metalized thermoformable structure products required for 3G technology. Further, the company plans to fully utilize its manufacturing facilities by 2010 to achieve turnover of Rs 3 billion. Kavveri is now upgrading its manufacturing facility at Jigani, about 25 Km from Bangalore. The plant is being upgraded with an investment of Rs 150 million and will be ready by April 2008.
