Sanra Software (SANRASOF), incorporated in 1995, is a new media technology company based in Chennai, India.
The company operates through its divisions of animation, gaming, media technologies, and media knowledge centers. It produces animation features in 2D and 3D available across the Internet, DVDs and other devices. A pool of writers, illustrators and animators using latest animation technology are engaged in film production, graphics and animation, web streaming and gaming. It possesses anaglyph technology enabling the creation of 3D content for broadcast and the conversion of existing content to the 3D anaglyph format and facilitates production of 3D anaglyph content for various other media platforms such as broadcast, high definition and feature films for outsourcing. ContactPoint, Pixstream, SAN ERP, and other developed products are on offer. It has also developed Rudra, a unique files backup software, auto saver and anti virus technology.
Identifying new media as the way to the future, the company has acquired the 3D/2D/visual business from Pix Aalaya Studios through a business transfer agreement. In FY07, it provided computer graphics to GV Films in the production of India`s first 3D serial in Indian Television called Mayavi and has a tie-up for the entire animation of their 3D full-length animation movie Om Muruga scheduled to be released in 2008. The launch of 2-D animation, flash animation, and a comprehensive 2D & 3D animation course through its centers in Chennai and Bangalore under the name of Pixel Academix has signaled it entry into animation training. Aggressive plans have been firmed up for further expansion. The client list includes Skaramoosh (UK), Apollo Hospitals, ITI Capital Markets, Cyber Media (I), Asian Exports, Kerala State Film Development Corporation, and Sanra Asia Pacific (Middle East) to name a few.

Sanra Software registered a 371.96% growth in net profit to Rs 15.15 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 3.21 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales increased 9.24 times to Rs 50.89 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 5.51 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income increased 9.24 times to Rs 50.9 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 5.51 million for the quarter ended December 2006.

- Shifting of the registered office from BCO, Whispering Heights, No. 132, St Mary`s Road, Alwarpet, Chennai-600018 to Flat No. 1 A, Eden Dale Apartments, New No. 7 (Old No. 6) , Bishop Wallers Avenue (East), CIT Colony, Mylapore, Chennai-600094.
- To change name of the company from Sanra Software to Sanraa Media subject to availability of name and approval of the shareholders and statutory authorities.

The company has launched into training in animation in the name of Pixel Academix. The center is located at Suite No. 1A, Door No. 24, Wellington Estate, 1st Floor, Ethiraj Salai, Egmore, Chennai-600008. It will launch a 2-D animation, flash animation, and a comprehensive 2D & 3D animation course. Pixel Academix has been conceptualized to provide the highest quality career oriented education in the field of animation, gaming and visual effects to create a world-class talent pool that will fulfill the demand for well trained animators in today`s market. It plans to focus on the south and west regions for the next six to nine months. It plans to start its further centers in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad and then move on expansion to the tier-2 cities in Tamil Nadu, AP, Karnataka and Kerala. Pixel Academix aims at having at least 20 centers down south by end of 2008 and around 50 centers across India by 2009.

The company`s board committee formed by the board of directors on Jan. 31, 2008 for the issue of global depository receipts for USD 27.5 million considered and approved the allotment of 10 million global depositary receipts of USD 2.75 each amounting to USD 27.5 million representing 20 million equity shares of Rs 10 each at a price of Rs 55 per share, including a premium of Rs 45 per share, to The Bank of New York (the depository) on behalf of the GDR holders held on May 02, 2008.

At a press meet hosted on Mar. 25, 2008, the company announced the following:
- Expansion of operations in Bangalore.
- Continuously look at expansion through acquisition of studios in India and abroad and focus on companies with strong IP creation base and also companies abroad with excellent marketing tieups.
- Look at some acquisitions on the gaming front in the next two quarters.
- Roll out two full-length animation movies by 2009, one in 3D and another in 2D.
- Expand the service business in the next year.
- Roll out a lot of products in Flash catering to different segments like education for kids and other areas.
- Expand training on retail model across the country.
Future Plans
Pixel Academix, the animation venture of the company, aims at having at least 20 centers in south India by the end of 2008 and around 50 centers across India by 2009.
