Shaily Engineering Plastics (SHAILY), established in 1987, is engaged in the business of providing total plastic solutions. Earlier known as Anmol Trading Company, it acquired its present name with effect from Feb. 28, 2007.
The ISO 9001:2001 and ISO TS 16949 certified company incorporates principles of product design, mould design, optimum material selection, mould procurement and product testing in processing diverse, difficult and exotic polymers including poly phenylene sulphide, poly phenylene oxide, polyoxy methylene and other combinations filled upto 50% with glass beads and fibers, minerals, talc, flame retardants, and other property-enhancing additives. Healthcare products are also manufactured. A wide range of high growth industries like switchgear components, auto components, medical equipment, electronics, domestic appliances, power tools and packaging of high-end consumer durables are served.
Manufacturing units are located in the Vadodara and Panchmahal districts of Gujarat. In FY08, capacity was substantially expanded at the export-oriented unit at Rania. A new plant is being set up at Dehradun in the state of Uttrakhand. Post molding services are also offered including ultrasonic welding, pad printing, painting, robotic hot stamping, vacuum metalizing and assembling. A 50:50 joint venture named Shaily-IDC (India) is in place with Industrial Design Consultancy of UK, a premier European design house. Products are delivered and material sourced as per requirements across the globe to USA, Europe and Africa

Financials
Shaily Engineering Plastics reported a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 76.43% to Rs 2.63 million from Rs 11.16 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 0.69% to Rs 174.32 million, while total income for the quarter rose marginally 0.89% to Rs 175.44 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company posted an earnings per share of Rs 0.36 for the quarter ended September 2008.
