Financials
The company announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 40% to Rs 64.40 million from Rs 46 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales declined 27.09% to Rs 1,822 million, while total income for the quarter fell 27.33% to Rs 1,822.50 million, when compared with the prior year period. It posted earnings of Rs 2.64 a share during the quarter, registering 39.68% growth over prior year period.
