AXIS IT & T (AXISITNT) is a leading engineering design and a business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider delivering cutting-edge customer services to global clients. Incorporated in 1990, it went public in April 2000. Earlier known as IT&T, it got its present name on Jun. 29, 2005.
The ISO 90001:2000 certified company provides comprehensive engineering design services including product design, 3D modeling and assembly, drafting and detailing, finite element analysis, reverse engineering and network contact programming; back office services like content development and data conversion, human resource services; software product development and maintenance and software re-engineering. AXIS - IT&T operates in the USA, UK, Europe and India through the offices of its group companies in Illinois, Leicestershire, and Noida.
The clients of the company include Ranbaxy, Apollo Tyres, Hero Cycles, ONGC, Indo Rama, HDFC Bank and Indian subsidiaries of several Fortune 500 companies. It primarily exports its engineering and software services through its delivery center in Noida which is registered as a software technology park unit and supplies its services to companies in the US, UK, Netherlands, Australia and Germany. Axis Inc. and Axis EU are subsidiary companies which market its services in USA and UK, respectively.

AXIS IT&T registered a loss of Rs 4.09 million for the quarter ended December 2007.
Net sales rose 24.6% to Rs 17.78 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 14.27 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income rose 27.87% to Rs 18.26 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 14.28 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 0.2 for the quarter ended December 2007.

The board of directors of AXIS IT&T at its meeting held on Jan. 11, 2008 approved the share purchase agreement with Tayana Software Solutions, a Bangalore-based company. As per the agreement, Tayana Software Solutions will acquire majority shares of the company.
