Accentia Technologies (ACCENTECH) is a leader in end-to-end business process management (BPM) solutions for the healthcare, financial and insurance sectors. Incorporated in 1991, it got its present name on Mar. 3, 2006.
The company is a forerunner in both software and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. With a superior technology-oriented software division and onsite-offshore model along with innovative technological advancements, it provides strategic solutions to customers. Some ITES products like Falcon and Imtas QC Suite 2006 have been developed for automation of end-to-end work-flow processes for BPO companies. In FY07, it bagged a GBP 2.1 million order for its custom-designed, multi-specialty hospital process management suite for hospitals in the UK and an order worth USD 2 million for real time healthcare BPO Solutions from a leading US hospital.
The BPO section caters to all the requirements of the IT industry with special emphasis on transcription services, medical billing and coding, insurance claim processing, consultancy services, and other similar services. The three state-of-the-art facilities have fault tolerant and HIPPA compliant technical infrastructure in Mumbai, Bangalore and Trivandrum with a capacity of 1,320 seats on a 24-hour cycle among all its facilities.
In FY07, the company embarked upon a major expansion plan by acquiring GSR Physicians Billing Inc., GSR Systems Inc. and Denmed Inc., all involved in the field of healthcare receivables management (HRM). It has established a subsidiary company in the UAE, namely Accentia RAK LLC, FZE to cater to Middle East markets and also acquired 51% stake in Asscent Infoserve during the year. Early in 2008, it entered into a strategic partnership with five leading hospitals in USA through Oak Technologies Inc., USA, for its end-to-end healthcare receivables cycle management.

Financials
The company disclosed a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 46.78% to Rs 63.16 million from Rs 43.03 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 37.01% to Rs 210.29 million, while total income for the quarter rose 34.28% to Rs 210.29 million, when compared with the prior year period. It posted earnings of Rs 4.85 a share during the quarter, registering 23.72% growth over prior year period.
