Ashco Industries was originally incorporated as a private limited company on Apr. 03, 1986, as Datalab (INDIA). It became a public limited company again by passing a special resolution on Mar. 26, 1994, and the name of the company was changed and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained on Sep. 29, 1994 from the registrar of companies, Maharashtra.
The company has been promoted by Ashok Kotwani and family to manufacture hi-tech products for export and local market. The company manufactures spectrometers and other equipment for the export market also and its 100% export oriented unit is located at Seepz in Mumbai.
At present, the company is engaged in the manufacture of gas chromatographs under technical guidance from Fisons Instruments, ITALY at its unit at Vasai, Bombay. It also deals in weighing instruments, spectroscopic products, thermal systems, chromatographic products and titrometry products.
It is exclusivity from the world renowned leaders in weighing and analytical equipment field like Mettler Toledo AG, Switzerland, GBC Scientific Equipment, Australia, Fisons Instruments S.P.A. Italy, Milestone, Italy, ELGA, U.K., MIDAC, USA, etc., to stock and sell their products in India.

The company registered a net sales of Rs 105.42 million for the financial year 2006 as compared to Rs 114 million in the previous year. The company registered a net loss of Rs 13.41 million in the financial year 2006 as compared to profit of Rs 10.26 million in the previous year.
