Associated Alcohols & Breweries (ASALCBR) was incorporated on Jul. 7, 1989 in Kolkata. It is a associated with Kedia Group of companies. The company is engaged in the manufacture of portable alcohol. ASALCBR is mainly operating under the bulk Alcohol segment and supplies to the Government and leading IMFL manufacturers. ASALCBR manufactures and sells Rectified spirit and Extra Neutral Alcohol in loose form to other manufacturers in the country. It also manufactures all kinds of potable liquor and blended liquor, under different brand names like Royal Falcon, Gold Seal, Jamaican Magic (rum), Karapov Vodka, etc.

ASALCBR units in Madhya Pradesh are operating at optimum level. The Company is further concentrating for the value added products, IMFL to increase its margins in the coming years. AABL also co-generates power. Associated Alcohols & Breweries has been generating the Biogas from the industrial effluents of the Distillery. It is successfully operating Turbine Gen-Set of 800 KW for co-generation of Power installed at its Barwaha (M.R) unit and 400 KW at its Rajasthan unit, which resulted in saving of power. The company exports IMFL to Russia.

ASALCBR has a wholly owned subsidiary namely Jaipur Distilleries. The company?s registered office is located at Kolkata. Its plants are located in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The company has an installed capacity of 54 million litres of alcohol per annum.

Financials
Associated Alcohols & Breweries registered a 162.58% growth in net profits to Rs 8.35 million for the quarter ended in September 2007 from a profit of Rs 3.18 million for the quarter ended in September 2006.

Net Sales rose 75.00% to Rs 307.55 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 175.74 million for the quarter ended September 2006.

Total Income rose 75.00% to Rs 307.55 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 175.74 million for the quarter ended September 2006.

The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.28 in the quarter ended September 2007
