Atlas Cycles Haryana (ATLAS) is a manufacturer of bicycles and bicycle components and parts. Founded by the Late Rai Bahadur Shri Jankidas Kapur in 1950, the president of the company is Vikram Kapur.

The company manufactures bicycles under four categories; namely ATBs/MTBs, city bikes, roadsters and children`s bikes. The company produces various models of bicycles under these categories, which include Montana, Sumo, Catz, Samurai, Pacific, Monalisa, Pigeon, Spice G, Superstrong, Dove, Swift, Buddy, Skipper, ..etc. Apart from bicycles, the company also manufactures steel tubes and bicycle components and accessories. The manufacturing unit in Sonepath, Haryana is equipped with a press shop, machine shop, brazing shop, welding shop, heat treatment plant, paint shop, electroplating plant and assembly shop. The unit is spread over 28 acres of land with a manufacturing capacity of 3.34 million bicycles.

The company is ISO 9001:2000 certificated. It has the privilege of being the only Indian complete bicycle manufacturing unit whose in house R&D unit has been recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. It exports bicycles to countries like North-East and Central Africa, USA, Latin America, South and Central America including Mauritius, West Indies and Madagascar Island, Egypt, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, Libya, Malawi, Ethiopia, and also USA and Latin America.

The registered office is at Post Box No. 20, Atlas Road, Atlas Nagar, Industrial Area, Sonepat-131001, Haryana.

Financials
Atlas Cycles Haryana registered a 70.59% growth in net profit to Rs 5.8 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from a profit of Rs 3.4 million for the quarter ended June 2006.

Net sales rose 7.73% to Rs 1,167.9 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 1,084.1 million for the quarter ended June 2006.

Total income rose 7.99% to Rs 1,180.3 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 1,093 million for the quarter ended June 2006.

Recent Developments
14-MAY-06
The Delhi High Court has passed an order upholding the valuation report prepared by consultancy firm Ernst & Young to divide Atlas Cycles (Haryana) assets amicably among the three Kapur families, who jointly own the company. Ernst & Young has valued the asset at Rs 1,750 million.
