Earlier known as Padmatex Engineering, the company acquired its present name on Oct. 10, 1994. It has technical collaboration and equity participation by OC Oerlikon Corporation AG, Switzerland.
The ISO 9002 certified company has its factories in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat with an installed capacity of 24 high speed draw frames, which is used as a spinning preparatory machine by textile mills. The unit also undertakes job work and sale of spare parts.
The registered office is at Chandrapura Village, Halol taluka, Panchmahal district-389350, Gujarat.

Schlafhorst Engineering (India) announced a phenomenon drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 73.52% to Rs 2.69 million from Rs 10.16 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales declined marginally 46.62% to Rs 19 million, while total income for the quarter fell 43.27% to Rs 22.51 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company reported an earnings per share of Rs 0.14 for the quarter ended September 2008.
