Flat Products (India) Ltd (FPIL) is a leading manufacturer of Cold Rolling (CR) Mills, Galvanising Lines and associated equipments in India. FPIL has collaborations with T Sendzimir Inc , USA for cold rolling mills; Achenbach Buschutten GMBH, Germany for Aluminium strip and foil mills; Bliss-Slaem Inc., USA for four Hi-CR mills for Mild Steel; Redex, France for Stretch Levelling Equipment; and Durmech Engineering Ltd , UK for Paint Coating Lines.
Recent Developments
In spite of recessionary condition, the Company has achieved turnover of Rs. 130.22 Crores for the financial year ended March 31, 2002 as against the preceding years level of Rs. 127.52 Crores. The sales includes exports sales of Rs.84.03 Crores. The companys main thrust have been exports and have successfully exported and commissioned Rolling Mill and CGL plants in Germany, Japan, Ethiopia, Mexico, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, Bangladesh Nepal & Kenya. The profit after tax for the year is Rs. 4.69 Crores as against Rs. 6.01 Crores for the previous year.
Flat Products (India) has registered sales of Rs 131.63 crore in the fiscal ended 2002 as compared to sales of Rs 127.79 crore in the previous fiscal. The company registered a profit after tax of Rs 4.69 crore in the current fiscal. The sales includes exports sales of Rs.84.03 crores.
The company`s main thrust have been exports and have successfully exported and commissioned rolling mill and CGL plants in Germany, Japan, Ethiopia, Mexico, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, Bangladesh Nepal & Kenya. The company has proposed a dividend of 25 per cent in the current fiscal.
Future Plans
The company plans to continue the present work in R&D for introduction of new products and processes, improvement in the existing products and processes in various areas in which the Company is operating. Plans are also afoot for faster introduction of new products and R&D and strengthening infrastructure for R& D.
