Hitachi Home & Life Solutions India (HITACHIH) is engaged in the manufacture and sale of air conditioners. The company was established in 1984 and is a subsidiary of Hitachi Appliances Inc., Japan, which also provides technology assistance.
The company room has AC categories like air conditioners providing window AC, split AC, and tower; packaged air conditioners providing concealed splits, ductable, ceiling, cassette; spacemakers providing specific telecom cooling solutions; setfree providing variable refrigerant volume systems; and chillers providing large air-conditioning applications. The company has 14 branches, 250 sales and service dealers, more than 800 showroom dealers and 350 service points. The company exports to the SAARC, Middle East and other tropical countries in addition to catering to the Indian market.

Hitachi Home and Life Solutions India registered a 95.84% growth in net profit to Rs 173.75 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from a profit of Rs 88.72 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
Net sales rose 27.95% to Rs 1,484.91 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 1,160.5 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
Total income rose 30.43% to Rs 1,530.13 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 1,173.16 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 7.57 for the quarter ended June 2007.
