Kirloskar Pneumatic Company (KIRLPNU), part of the Kirloskar group, is engaged in the business of compressors, air conditioning and refrigeration, and hydraulic power transmission. It was incorporated on March 26, 1958. The company amalgamated with K.G. Khosla Compressors in 2002 to get its current name.
The company`s compression systems segment products and solutions include air and gas screw compressors like electric screws, diesel portable, water well rig compressors, service air trolleys, dry screws (tie-up with KOBELCO Japan); air and gas reciprocating compressors like refrigeration and air-conditioning (upto 500 TR), vertical, horizontal, railway brake, gas, high pressure, and garage compressors; centrifugal compressors (tie-up with Cameron, USA, for manufacturing); air and gas project installations like propane refrigeration packages, flake ice plants (in UAE), propylene refrigeration packages; process gas systems like skid mounted for compressed natural gas, and engine driven gas compressor packages for gas gathering.
The transmission equipments segment products include gears and gear boxes like turbo transmission for locomotives, marine gearboxes, traction gears and pinions, and 250 KW wind turbine gear boxes; defence supplies like marine gear box & propulsion systems, chilling packages, and service air trolleys for IAF, suspension units for MBT Arjun, and mobile high pressure air compressors for missiles. The company has a support foundry producing 200-225 tons of castings every month and a heat treatment center.
The two manufacturing plants are located at Hadapsar Industrial Estate and Saswad in Pune. It has a well established distribution system with regional offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata and branch offices in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Vadodara.

Kirloskar Pneumatic Company registered a steep drop of 56.09% in net profit of Rs 10.1 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from a profit of Rs 23 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
Net sales rose 22.65% to Rs 623.8 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 508.6 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
Total income rose 17.92% to Rs 630.3 million for the quarter ended June 2007 from Rs 534.5 million for the quarter ended June 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS), of the company stood at Rs 0.79 for the quarter ended June 2007.
