Magnum (MAGNUM) is engaged in providing software and share transfer services. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Jan. 31, 1992, converted into a public limited company on May 6, 1994, and got its present name on Jan. 2, 2000.
The ISO-9001:1994 certified company has business interests in software development, marketing and support services for government entities. In FY07, the company diversified into the role of registrar to issues and share transfer agent. It has received a license from SEBI to work as a share transfer agent category II.
Some of the several software projects implemented for the Gujarat government bodies include customization of the fixed assets module of SAP, data entry job for the sales tax department, implementation of software development in the divisional offices of the Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) and training staff in running and maintaining programs and software. The company also trained the GEB staff in Oracle and Developer 2000, provided support for software implemented at the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation and Regional Transport offices, and provided training to staff of the Gujarat Water Sewerage Board in the design and payroll software developed by the company and implemented at six locations.
