Suraj Stainless (SURAJST), established in 1960, is a manufacturer and exporter of stainless steel seamless and welded pipes, tubes and U tubes. Earlier known as Suraj Finsec, it got its present name on Dec. 17, 1999.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company specializes in manufacturing tubing for equipment like heat exchangers, heating elements, surface condensers, evaporators, digesters, instrumentation and fluid pipings conforming to ASTM and other international standards. The manufacturing facilities are located in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. It enhanced its production capacity by commissioning a new piercing mill in May 2007 to manufacture stainless steel mother hollow from stainless steel round bars, which is the raw material for their seamless plant.
A government-recognized export house, the company sells its products in India and in more than 53 countries across the globe. Suraj Enterprise is a subsidiary company.
The registered office is located at Suraj House, Vidhyanagar Society, Opposite Usmanpura Garden, Usmanpura, Ahmedabad-380014, Gujarat.
Financials
The company disclosed a good increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 26.39% to Rs 70.97 million from Rs 56.15 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales declined 19.60% to Rs 516 million, while total income for the quarter fell 19.07% to Rs 523.65 million, when compared with the prior year period. It reported earnings of Rs 4.17 a share during the quarter, registering 26.36% growth over prior year period.
