Yashraj Containeurs (YASHRAJ) is engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling steel barrels. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Jul. 27, 1993, converted into a public limited company on Oct. 25, 1994 and got its present name on Jul. 12, 2003.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company offers closed top and open top steel barrels and composite steel-plastic barrels in a range of sizes and thicknesses with a choice of coating for safe packing of materials for petroleum products and oils, chemicals and pesticide, food, paint and varnishes, pharmaceutical and hazardous chemical industries.
The strategically located fully automatic steel barrel manufacturing plant at Daman has an installed production capacity to manufacture 400 barrels per hour. The plant is equipped with machines from renowned manufacturers such as General Macchine Impianti s.r.l, Italy; Deltax; Thermax; Nordson Corporation, USA; and others. In FY07, an additional manufacturing facility was set up in Chennai.
Catering to leading companies in the government public sector undertakings, defence services and private sector companies, some of the major customers are Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, IBP, Gulf Oil Corporation, Asian Paints, Micro Inks, Mitsu, and others. The company is under the perusal of the the Board for Industrial
And Financial Reconstruction, New Delhi (BIFR) as it was declared a sick company on Jan. 20, 2006.

Yashraj Containeurs registered a 23.17% growth in net profit to Rs 30.57 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 24.82 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales rose 23.09% to Rs 182.64 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 148.38 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income rose 23.05% to Rs 182.72 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 148.49 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
