Bharat Electronics Limited announced their provisional numbers for fourth quarter FY10. The company’s sales stood at Rs 1,776 crore versus Rs 2,783 crore, down 36% year-on-year (YoY). The profit before tax came in at Rs 309 crore versus Rs 823 crore, down 60% YoY. The nine month FY10 sales grew by over 85%.

Ashwini Kumar Datt, CMD of Bharat Electronics said the fourth quarter is normally a weak quarter compared to the other three quarters. “The wage provisions have margins in Q4FY10.”
Datt said the company has FY11 sales target of Rs 5,700 crore. “The current order book stands at Rs 11,350 crore.”
