HCL Tech Q4 net profit at Rs 342 cr, beats estimates

HCL Technologies has announced its results for the quarter ended June 2010. It has reported net profit at Rs 342 crore in Q4FY10 as against Rs 344 crore, as per US GAAP.

Revenue increased to Rs 3,425 crore from Rs 3,076 crore. Earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) margins declined to 18.6% versus 19.7%.

It has reported forex loss at Rs 137 crore versus Rs 62.6 crore (USD 29.5 million versus USD 14 million (QoQ)).

Numbers were better-than-expectations; CNBC-TV18 expected net profit at Rs 300.6 crore and revenues at Rs 3258 crore.

In dollar terms, HCL Tech posted net profit at USD 73.6 million as against USD 76.6 million and net sales at USD 737.6 million versus USD 685.2 million (QoQ).

BPO revenues declined 12.5% (QoQ). EBIT loss was at Rs 6.5 million.

Consolidated IT Services revenue grew by 9.3% and infra service revenues were up 8.9%. Revenue from top 5 clients grew 7%. US revenues rose 11.2% while Europe revenues declined 0.8% (QoQ).
