Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has announced its FY09 and Q4 results. The company''s net profit was up at Rs 3,039 crore versus Rs 2,859.34 crore. (FY09 numbers are Provisional). Its total turnover was up at Rs 27,505 crore against Rs 21,401 crore. Its FY09 EPS is at Rs 62.10 and its FY09 order flow was up 19% at Rs 59,687 crore. The company’s total export turnover was up 31% at Rs 8,406 crore while its Q4 net profit was up at Rs 1,249 crore versus Rs 1,110.87 crore.

Commenting on the results, K Ravi Kumar, CMD of BHEL, said, the company has a Rs 50,000 crore orderbook and that’s what they had projected and is expecting more order in April. He added, “We are negotiating certain contracts in April and next year we are projecting an orderbook of Rs 50,000 crore and that should keep us busy for the next three years.”
