As Delhi-based natural gas retailer Indraprastha Gas (IGL) increased price of piped cooking gas (PNG) in New Delhi and NCR by 93 paise, it is expecting that it will help maintaining margins, reports CNBC-TV18.

In an interview Rajesh Ved Vyas, MD of the company said that the PNG hike does not cover entire administered price mechanism (APM) gas cost hike. The revision in the rate of piped natural gas (PNG) was a result of hike in regulated gas prices, the company had said earlier.

However Vyas added that the price hike will help maintain margins. the company also said that they had not passed the full impact of the regulated gas rate hike.
