Erasing early losses, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex recovered 62 points at mid-session on Tuesday on emergence of buying by funds.

The Sensex, which had lost over 195 points in early trade, gained 61.94 points at 15,690.69 at 1300 hrs on heavy buying in blue-chip firms like Reliance Industries.

Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty raised by 18.40 points at 4,661.20 at the same time.

However, other Asian stock markets were trading lower by up to one per cent in afternoon trade.
