The Mumbai power battle gets hotter as it takes yet another turn with Tata Power going ahead and filing a writ petition against the Government of Maharashtra at the Bombay High Court..

Currently, 360 megawatts (MW) of power is being supplied by Tata Power to Reliance Infra. Earlier, Tata Power had instructed the state load dispatch centre to go ahead and dispatch 160 MW of power to its own distribution arm Tata Power-Distribution (TPC-D).

Now the State Load Dispatch Commission (SLDC) has rejected this as it waited the state government’s nod on the issue. This has been one of the main reasons for Tata Power’s writ petition.
