AACL is a global supplier of amines and amine-based chemicals to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, rubber chemical & water treatment industries, among others.
The first plant was commissioned in 1982 at Patalganga to make ethylamine and cyclohexylamines with technology from Leonard Process Company, USA The capacity was expanded in 1986 in the existing plant and another plant was set up in 1992 to make inter alia methylamines It has its other plant at Kurkumbh near pune In the year 2000 the company commissioned two new plants - Ethylamines and hydrogen at its Kurkumbh facility AACL uses industrial alcohol, a by-product of the sugar industry, as the primary raw material.
AACL�s clients include pharma majors like Ranbaxy and Hoechst, besides other large players such as Nocil and Asian Paints.
The company also provides contract manufacturing, the contract manufacturing team provides a wide range of technology and product development, scale-up, as well as custom manufacturing support to clients in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and speciality chemical industries. Patalganga site is ISO9002 certified.
Recent Developments
The company has set up a new division, Custom Synthesis Division.The division undertakes activities like reductive amination (liquid and vapour phase), air oxidation, high pressure hydrogenation, peroxide oxidation etc. for customers both domestic and international.
Future Plans
The company plans to consolidate its pre-eminent position in various amines and amines derivatives markets. Their core competence in chemical handling and manufacturing supported by Technical Team and plans to focus more on customer relationship management is likely to provide more oppourtunities and scope to the company to improve its performance.
