The High Court of Mumbai had earlier approved the composite scheme of arrangement and amalgamation of Anik Industries (Anik), General Foods (GFL), Madhya Pradesh Glychem Industries (MPGIL), Ruchi Health Foods (RHFL), Ruchi (RPL), Nutrela Marketing (NMPL), and Ruchi Soya Industries (RSIL) and their respective shareholders. Pursuant to this, the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on December 23, 2006 allotted 6,642,956 equity shares of Rs 10/- each, fully paid up on pari-passu basis, to the shareholders of Anik Industries (merging Company).
