Incorporated in 1973, the company belongs to the Rajgarhia group. It produces staple/polyester yarn and acrylic yarn at its plant in Bhiwadi in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. In 1996, the company completed the expansion of installed capacity from 29024 spindles a year to 35072. Operations have shown a substantial improvement in FY97 as compared to the previous year. Gross turnover is up by 17% from Rs. 897.6 million in FY96 to Rs. 1053.1 million in FY97. The gross profit also registered an increase of 25% from Rs. 82.2 million to Rs. 103.1 million and the net profit is up by 12% from Rs. 35.4 million in FY96 to Rs. 39.8 million in FY97. Exports were at Rs. 15.3 million, compared with Rs. 30.9 million in the previous year. This was because the exports were confined to Nepal, where import of yarns was banned in the latter half of the year.

Future Plans
During FY99, the company proposes to concentrate on balancing of equipment to achieve optimality. This is expected to result in a higher production without an additional spindleage and should help in producing more value-added products, apart from paring costs.
