Hisar Metal Industries (HISARMET) is engaged in the manufacture of stainless steel strips. It was incorporated in 1990 as a private limited company and became a public limited company in June 1992.

The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures cold-rolled sheets and coils, and ultra thin high precision stainless steel strips at its plant at Hisar in Haryana with an installed capacity of 14,400 MTPA. It has its own captive power supply to sustain internal consumption and has installed 6.5 MW gensets to cater to its power supply needs. Three 4 Hi mills and one 6 Hi mill have been set up to cope with any technological advancement or capacity addition when required. The products are exported to Australia, USA, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea and Germany.

The registered office is located near Industrial Development Colony, Delhi Road, Hisar-125005, Haryana.

Financials
Hisar Metal Industries registered a steep drop of 82.35% in net profit of Rs 0.9 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 5.1 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales declined 22.2% to Rs 378.2 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 486.1 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income dipped 21.27% to Rs 389 million from Rs 494.1 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 0.25 for the quarter ended December 2007.
