N.R. Agarwal Industries (NRAGRINDQ), incorporated in 1993, is engaged in manufacturing and marketing coated duplex board and newsprint.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures coated duplex boards -grey back and white back as well as newsprint at its four manufacturing units in Vapi, Gujarat with installed capacities of 112,800 MTPA coated duplex boards and 36,000 MTPA newsprint. Five different kinds of boards are offered which are extensively used in carton packaging and printing, pharma, consumer products, industrial products, cosmetics, jewelry, readymade garments, foods and beverages, books, fruits and promotional packaging.
In FY07, the company diversified into manufacturing cream wove (writing printing paper) and produced 1,816 tons in the first quarter. Power and energy saving technological adaptations at its units have better quality and quantity production of coated duplex paper boards at lower KWH and steam consumption per ton of paperboard. It markets its products across the country through a network of distributors and its own sales team. Coated duplex boards are exported to many countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Philippines, Egypt, East Africa and the Middle East.

Financials
N.R. Agarwal Industries registered a steep drop of 24.09% in net profits of Rs 23.22 million for the quarter ended June 2008 from a profit of Rs 30.59 million for the quarter ended June 2007.
Net sales rose 15.29% to Rs 873.38 million for the quarter ended June 2008 from Rs 757.57 million for the quarter ended June 2007.
Total income rose 15.83% to Rs 878.6 million for the quarter ended June 2008 from Rs 758.51 million for the quarter ended June 2007.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.36 for the quarter ended June 2008.
