ATL Textile Limited (Formerly known as Asher Textiles limited) was incorporated in 1938 with a spinning capacity of 12000 ring spindles. The unit is located at Tiripur, Tamil Nadu. In 1988, the management of the company was taken over by Patodia of Yarn Syndicate Limited. The main business of the company are manufacture of cotton yarn and Knitted fabric.ATL has a licenced capacity of 42,400 ring spindles. The company started direct exports for the first time in 1989 and have moved ahead in various international markets. The company is consistently paying dividend and more than 85% of the sales come from exports. The sales and exports are are gradually increasing with total sales are at Rs.944 mn in FY97. The main focus of the company is on exports and the local sales of the company are decreasing. In FY 97 local sale of the company was just Rs.64 mn. Despite slump in the international prices, ATL has maintained consistent profitability with PAT rising to Rs.32mn in FY97 from Rs.10 mn in FY93.
ATL has been accredited to the ISO 9002 quality standards and was also awarded Bronze trophy from the Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) for outstanding cotton yarn exports in FY 96.
Future Plans :
ATL have set its focus on implementing vertical expansion of spinning capacity to cater different segments of the market. The company is also implementing capacity expansion of twisting unit for post spinning facilities and is expected to be commissioned very soon.
