Triveni Engineering & Industries, a part of Triveni group is in the business of manufacturing sugar, steam turbines and projects and engineering activities. It has three sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh, with a capacity of 25,250 TCD. Steam turbines manufactured by it has generating capacity up to 15.0 MW. It is also in to co-generation.
The company`s Khatauli plant had manufactured 18.66 mn quintals of sugar in 2004-05, said to be the highest in India. Triveni is the first Indian company to bag an order for CEDI based boiler feed water treatment plant of 85 M3/Hr capacity for the Khatauli Cogen Plant. It is the only gear manufacturer using the international technology provided by Lufkin Industries, Texas, US.
TEIL is also setting up new sugar factories at Chandanpur, JP Nagar, UP, and at Rani Nagal, Moradabad, UP, with a crushing capacity of 5,000 TCD each. The company`s sugar unit at Sabitgarh,Tehsil Khurja, Bulandshahar, UP, with a crushing capacity of 7,000 TCD was commissioned in January 2006.
Incorporated in 1961 for manufacturing sugar mill machinery and steam turbines, TEIL has a significant market share in sugar, small turbines and water and water waste treatment. The company`s operations are divided into the sugar and engineering division. It also entered into rural retailing with 2 stores and 4 other franchisee outfits called Triveni Khushali Bazaar. These are one-stop shops for farmers and rural customers, where they can buy agri-inputs, cattle feed, cycle, plastic furniture, FMCGs, automobiles, building material and petroleum products.

General Electric Company`s (GE) oil and gas division inked an agreement with Triveni Engineering & Industries to enter the fast growing high speed reciprocating (HSR) compressor market in India. GE`s agreement with the company will consist of an initial term of five years and will involve the import of bare (Flange-to-Flange) compressors from GE Oil & Gas Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA facility.
