Vama Industries (VAMA), incorporated in 1985, is engaged in providing engineering, IT and IT-enabled services to the domestic and international markets. Earlier known as Sanjeevni Industries, it got its present name on Feb. 01, 2005.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company offers a spectrum of engineering services in product development, designing, computer-aided design and engineering; application development services such as application migration and maintenance support, quality assurance and testing, e-business and in other areas; and enterprise services including enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and enterprise application integration.
Software products such as Resource Management System, which tracks and enhances the resource utilization resources, software and hardware; Design Wizard and other utilities are offered. Selling and maintaining high-end workstations, servers, notebooks and integrated systems, the company represents major brands like HP-Compaq and IBM. It is also a distributor of high-end CAE systems like VCollab and RecurDyn and re-sells the Altair range of software products.
Partnerships have been forged with leading companies like Synopsys, VCollab, Votive and others to serve clients spread across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The company assists Tier1 and Tier2 companies in sectors like automotive, marine, petrochemicals and aerospace. The domestic client list includes National Thermal Power Corporation, Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, National Geographical Research Institute, Satyam Venture Engineering Services, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Tecumseh Products India among others. It caters to several international clients such as Altair Engineering, Design Automation Associates Inc., Southco, Inc., and Whirlpool to name a few. Vama Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in Singapore, started operations in 2005-2006.
