Alufluoride (ALUFLUOR) is engaged in producing and marketing aluminum fluoride and related products. It was incorporated as a private limited company in November 1984 and subsequently converted into a public limited company in October 1992.
The company manufactures aluminum fluorride (ALF3) with silica and calcium fluoride as byproducts. The manufacturing plant was set up in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh with technical know-how from Navin Fluorine Industries and has since adapted new technology developed by Alusuisse, Switzerland. It has a capacity to produce 6,000 TPA of ALF3. The company has an agreement with Coromandel Fertilizers for the supply of 4,000 TPA of hydrofluosilicic acid.
Certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001, the company has been awarded Best Effort in Environmental Improvement by The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry. Aluminium smelters in India and abroad use the company`s ALF3. Its access to the Visakhapatnam port provides the company easy access to the export markets of the Middle East and other countries.
The company`s registered office is at Victory Court, Nowroji Road, Visakhapatnam-530002, Andhra Pradesh.
Financials
The company disclosed a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.39 times to Rs 10.27 million from Rs 4.29 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 11.53% to Rs 55.61 million, while total income for the quarter rose 10.89% to Rs 57.04 million, when compared with the prior year period. It posted earnings of Rs 1.47 a share during the quarter, registering 2.41 times growth over prior year period.
