Control Print India (CONTROLP), incorporated in 1991, is a leader in the coding and marking machinery in India.
The company deals in the hot melt ink technology manufactures coding and marking machines, spares and consumables. It has a product range of contact
coders, specialized metal marking systems, superior touch coders, sophisticated ink jet coders, and advanced laser coders. These coding machines find application in printing barcodes and are used in the pharmaceutical and other industries that need to print information such as batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date and price on their product packages.
The manufacturing facilities are located in the Thane district of Maharashtra and the recently set-up manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh to manufacture low cost contact coders. The new unit will manufacture Conprint HRC, a coder based on the hot melt ink technology, and consumables like hot ink rolls. The company has strong service network with a clientele including Coca Cola and Pepsi, Cipla and Dr Reddys, TVS and NRB Bearing, TISCO and SAIL. It has started marketing high end digital coding and marking machines.

Financials
Control Print India registered a steep drop of 42.8% in net profit of Rs 10.37 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 18.13 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales declined 20.17% to Rs 79.97 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 100.18 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income dipped 11.36% to Rs 92.63 million from Rs 104.5 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.4 for the quarter ended December 2007.

Control Print India informed that the registrar of companies has confirmed the change in name of the company to `Control Print`. The company has received the certificate from the registrar dated April 07, 2008.

The shareholders of the company by way of postal ballot have passed the special resolution for change in name of the company as Control Print with requisite majority.

On Mar. 24, 2008, the board of directors made allotment of 125,000 equity shares Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 53 per share aggregating Rs 7.875 million fully paid-up as per the SEBI guidelines to the promoter of the company on preferential basis.

Control Print India announced today (Thursday) signing of MoU for technical collaboration with KBA-Metronic, Germany, the undisputed worldwide technology leader in coding, marking and printing. The venture will lead to industrial ink-jet printers manufactured in India based on know-how transferred from KBA-Metronic. KBA-Metronic is a wholly owned subsidiary of Koenig & Bauer (KBA), the world`s third largest printing equipment manufacturer listed on the Deutsche Borse, with sales of over USD 2.4 billion (Rs 100 billion), founded 190 years ago.
Future Plans
In addition to hot melt ink technology, the company is negotiating for a few other technologies and product lineups.
As a first step towards diversification, the company intends to enter into the real estate development business by end of this financial year with the development of its property situated at Chandivali, Andheri East, Mumbai.
