ORG Informatics (ORGINFO) is engaged in the business of systems integration, services and telecom. It was incorporated in 1976 and got its present name on May 7, 2003.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company offers system integration and managed services in billing and open source solutions, code division multiple access, IPTV, VOIP and other areas. Software solutions are offered involving next generation mobile and SMS banking, voice and IP platforms, telecom self services, and mobile content like ring tones, graphics, games, videos and movies. It has operations in Dhaka, Singapore, USA, Tanzania and Kabul in partnership with global leaders such as iDirect Technologies, HP, IBM, Intec, CISCO and others. In FY07, it extended operations to Nigeria. The pilot phase of the MTNL IPTV commercial rollout was successfully completed, and broadcast managed services started.
Having a strategic alliance with Global Asia Partners (GAP), a US based venture capital fund, the company is looking to grow by acquiring stake in other software products and services companies and has shareholder approval to raise USD 35 million through foreign currency convertible bonds. It acquired Belgacom`s satellite-based business from Belgacom NV/SA late in 2007 and has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Belgium to facilitate this acquisition and carry out operational functions. Other subsidiaries include the Bangalore based IT company Unified Technologies and RG Telecom, which has in turn incorporated two subsidiaries in FY07, one in RAKFTZ, UAE and the other in USA. The company has clients such as Airtel, Citibank, MTNL, Spice, and BSNL among others.

The company swung to a loss for the quarter ended in December 2008. Net sales for the quarter rose 15% to Rs 526.28 million, while total income for the quarter rose 15.16% to Rs 532.37 million, when compared with the prior year period.

The company secured an order worth of Rs 197 million from IT Department, Government of Meghalaya for implementation of Meghalaya State Wide Area Network (MSWAN).
