Bhatinda Chemicals (BHATICH) is engaged in the business of extracting, manufacturing and marketing clarified butter and oil. Incorporated as a private limited company on Feb. 3, 1976, it was converted into a public limited company on Sep. 3, 1992.
The company manufactures vegetable, mustard, sunflower, cottonseed, soyabean and rice bran oils, clarified butter, oil cakes, stearic acid, acid oil, soap stock, and other products. The factory is located at Bhatinda in Punjab with a solvent extraction capacity of 300 TPD and oil refining capacity of 100 TPD. As the third highest producer of refined rice bran oil for the year 2006-2007, it was honored with the Shri B.K. Goenka-SEA Award for Refined Rice Bran Oil at the 10th National Seminar on Rice Bran Oil on Jun. 30, 2007 at Chennai.
The registered office is located at Hazi Rattan Link Road, Post Box No 71, Bhatinda-151001, Punjab.

Bhatinda Chemicals registered a 268.2% growth in net profit to Rs 8.8 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 2.39 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Net sales rose 93.14% to Rs 1,182.85 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 612.42 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
Total income rose 92.99% to Rs 1,184.72 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 613.89 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.76 for the quarter ended December 2007.

An extra ordinary general meeting (EGM) of the members of the company will be held on Feb. 11, 2008, to create, offer, issue and allot upto 13.85 million warrants at Rs 50 per warrant on a preferential basis to the promoters and bodies corporates other than promoters with a right to subscribe to an equal number of equity shares on conversion within a period of 18 months from the date of allotment of warrants of nominal value of Rs 10 each fully paid up at a premium of Rs 40 per share, subject to necessary provisions and approvals.
