Dhanuka Agritech (DHANUKA) formerly known as Dhanuka Pesticides was incorporated as a public company in the year 1985, under the Indian Companies Act, 1956. Dhanuka Pesticides is a part of Dhanuka Group. It was started primarily for manufacturing technical grade pesticides namely, fenvalerate and cypermethrin.
The Dhanuka group is a well established manufacturer of a wide range of popular pesticides, in ECs, granules, wettables and dust formulations of insecticides, fungicides, weedicides, PGR, growth stimulant and wetting agents. Dhanuka Agritech has manufacturing units at Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Jammu and Kashmir.
The company entered into a series of technical tie-up agreements with a number of Japanese multinationals, namely, Takeda Chemicals Industries, Japan for cartap hydrochloride and validamycin; MitsuiChemicals, Japan for etofenprox; Hokko Chemicals Ind. Co., Japan for kasugamycin. DHANUKA is based in Gurgaon, India.

Dhanuka Agritech registered a 191.13% growth in net profits to Rs 63.67 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from a profit of Rs 21.87 million for the quarter ended September 2006.
Net Sales increased 5.58 times to Rs 899.55 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 250.93 million for the quarter ended September 2006.
Total income rose 259.09% to Rs 901.90 million for the quarter ended September 2007, from Rs 251.16 million for the quarter ended September 2006.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 6.94 in the quarter ended September 2007.
Recent Developments

Dhanuka Agritech has recommended a final dividend of 20% for the financial year 2006-07. The total dividend together with the Interim Dividend of 20% already paid works out to 40%.
Future Plans
The company plans to commence the business of cultivating, growing, producing, procuring and dealing in all types of seeds, grains and agricultural produce contained in other objects clause in the memorandum of association of the company. However, this is subject to necessary provisions and approvals.
