Savant Infocomm (SAVINFOCO) is a provider of technology solutions and education services in the area of information technology (IT) corporate training, professional certification and private education markets. It was incorporated on Feb. 22, 1978 and went public on Nov. 03, 1992. Earlier known as Standard Cables, it got its present name with effect from Oct. 06, 2006. The company has been acquired in 2007 by Western India Steel Company and other individuals, which has initiated a change in management.
Focus is on the areas of IT-security training leading to CISSP certification, delivery of some programs for the University of Mysore within India and abroad, and developing e-learning content. The company also provides consultancy and specialized training for engineering and science graduates. It had entered into partnerships with the Institute of System Science and Singapore Computer Society to promote the Certified IT Project Manager (CITPM) program in India, the University of Mysore to conduct M.Sc. and B.Sc. programs in IT and management, with the Department of Distance Education in India and abroad to develop programs, and also with Acharya Nagarjuna University to conduct programs of the Center for Distance Education in India and abroad. Apart from this, tie-ups are in place with various other foreign and Indian institutes. Business activities have been kept in abeyance in FY08 as the new management is finalizing strategy.

Savant Infocomm disclosed that loss for the quarter ended September 2008 has narrowed down. During the quarter, the loss of the company decreased 68.75% to Rs 0.05 million from a loss of Rs 0.16 million over the previous year period.
